Watchdog1 is both an entity and the system that presides over the Kingdom of Hypixel.

Functions
It's main uses are for keeping the use of magic monitored and under control within the Kingdoms walls. With such a large Kingdom, both in area and population, it is a way of allowing citizens to have certain freedoms while keeping a watch on them and preventing abuse.
As part of that job, Watchdog monitors, and if necesary removes from the Kingdoms walls, those who fail to follow its guidelines. This is refered to as "banning." A first offence results in a temporary ban, sometimes only from a specific location within Hypixel, while further or larger offenses may result in a perminant ban from the entire Kingdom.
No one besides a few high-ranking Council members and the King himself know how Watchdog functions. This has created somewhat of a superstition around it's existence with many citizens.
Physical Manifestation
Players often say they catch glipses of an orange ghostlike figure in the shape of a dog circling around them or somewhere just barely out of sight. Some swear there is a real dog belonging to the King which is in some way linked to the Watchdog system itself, but this claim has never been proven.
